The Elmira wood cook stove has been used to heat the home and features 2 gas burners, a large oven, and warming boxes. Power is provided by a propane generator and an outhouse is located not too far from the home as there is not a bathroom inside. The property also includes two smaller 1 room dry cabins. The smaller log cabin is located behind the main home and currently serves as a bath house while the other sits atop a ridge offering spectacular views of the timbered forest. A 16'x24' shop provides ample work and storage space. It has a wood stove for heat and was used as a cabin while the home was being renovated. Other smaller sheds and covered areas around the home make excellent equipment and gear storage. This inholding retreat is surrounded on all sides by National Forest and features a diverse array of tree species, brush, native grass, and wildflowers. Several fruit trees including plum, pear, cherry, and hazelnut were planted in the past couple years along with raspberries. Wildlife including Rocky Mtn. Elk, Mule Deer, Bobcat, Mtn. Lion, Black Bear, and lots of smaller animals can be spotted on the property and in the surrounding area. Located in the Malheur River hunting unit this is a hunter or outdoor enthusiast’s paradise with its ideal location, natural resources, and infrastructure.
