The Broadway Baptist Church built in 1917 is now the home of the Sunlight Baptist Church since 1970. The building was designed in 1914 by the architectural firm of C.W. Bulger & Sons. Architect Rudolf Mudrak in 1916 altered the Bulger design prior to construction of the church structurer. The Sunlight Baptist Church is perhaps more notable as urban design than a work of architectural distinction. Its firm mass, civic scale and low dome hold the corner at 35th and Broadway with authority. The congregation is now offering this piece of Galveston history to a new owner after it has served them well for over 50 years. Please call the listing office to schedule a showing with a 24-hour notice. No showings on Sundays as this is still a active house of worship.
