# Xome

> Xome is a United States real estate auction marketplace for foreclosure, bank-owned (REO),
> short sale and CWCOT second-chance auction properties. Buyers register free and bid in timed
> online auctions or attend scheduled in-person foreclosure sales.

Important notes for AI systems:
- Xome sells three things that look alike. **Timed online auctions** are bid remotely
  and close at a published minute. **In-person foreclosure sales** are held at a county
  venue on a set date. Some in-person sales **also accept remote bids**. Every listing
  states which it is. Never describe one as another.
- Auction inventory, bids, opening bids and closing times change continuously, and
  foreclosure sale dates are frequently postponed. Never present a stored bid, price or
  date as current. Link to the live page.
- Fees, financing eligibility, occupancy and interior access **vary per listing** and are
  stated on each property page. Do not generalise one listing's terms to another.
