Originally built in 1862 as the Fiske House in Silver Mountain City (located off of Ebbett's Pass), this building was dismantled & rebuilt in downtown Markleeville as the Hot Springs Hotel in 1886. In 1900, it became the Alpine Hotel. For many years, it was known as the Cutthroat Saloon & Restaurant & then Wolfcreek Bar & Restaurant and then the popular Cutthroat Brewing Company which closed recently.
